Leishan, a baby pygmy hippopotamus, sits in the water next to her mother Ellen in their enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland July 2, 2009.

Leishan, a West African name meaning 'gift', was born on the 9th May and is the first offspring for parents Ellen and Otto.

Pygmy hippos are only found in West Africa,where they are critically endangered.
