Greetings, planet saver! Here's a step-by-step guide to planting native trees in milk cartons.
| Place seeds in a bowl and pour boiling water on them. Leave the seeds to soak overnight. Only plant the seeds that sink. |

Punch several small drainage holes in the base of the carton.
Half fill the carton with soil. Plant a couple of seeds in the carton about 3mm below the surface of the soil. |

Water every day for a week or until the seedlings have properly emerged.
Choose a sunny spot in your garden or school. Dig a hole deep enough to bury your carton up to half way. |

| Plant the entire carton in the hole you have already prepared. The carton will degrade as the tree grows! |
