Greetings, planet saver! Here's a step-by-step guide to planting native trees in milk cartons.
Place seeds in a bowl and pour boiling water on them. Leave the seeds to soak overnight. Only plant the seeds that sink.
Punch several small drainage holes in the base of the carton.

Half fill the carton with soil. Plant a couple of seeds in the carton about 3mm below the surface of the soil.

Water every day for a week or until the seedlings have properly emerged.

Choose a sunny spot in your garden or school. Dig a hole deep enough to bury your carton up to half way.

Plant the entire carton in the hole you have already prepared. The carton will degrade as the tree grows!
