Second US serviceman loses foot in mine blast

The serviceman lost his left foot in Tuesday's blast at the heavily
mined Bagram Airbase, just north of Kabul, and was flown to Uzbekistan
for treatment, the spokesman said.
A British soldier was injured by a landmine at the same base earlier
this month.
Three U.S. Marines were wounded on Sunday when one stepped on a mine
while clearing ordnance from Kandahar airport in southern Afghanistan.
One lost his leg below the knee and the other two suffered less serious
injuries.
