UK's Friends Ivory expands global equities team

Thompson was previously part of the corporate finance team at Impax Capital, a fund management and financial advisory firm specialising in the environmental infrastructure and technology.
At Friends, Thompson will be responsible for researching global environmental technology and developing the firm's capabilities in the area.
Friends is one of the biggest players in the socially responsible investment (SRI) market. Its approach is to work with companies to improve their social, environmental and ethical policies in the belief that this will have a positive impact on the bottom line.
Friends has around 35 billion pounds in assets under management of which around 20 billion pounds are managed on a SRI engagement basis.
