Ministers resume negotiations at Earth Summit

As heads of state and government met elsewhere in a Johannesburg conference centre, their weary environment ministers restarted the tough negotiations they adjourned in the early hours.
The one big remaining issue is whether or not the final declaration of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) should contain a target for increasing the world's use of renewable energy.
