BP warns may discontinue East Java gas operation

The pipeline, owned and operated by state oil and gas firm Pertamina, carries gas from BP's Pagerungan gas field in East Java.
"We have been assured that with immediate effect, a maritime exclusion zone...will be established," BP said in a statement.
"If these measures are ineffective in eliminating marine operations in the affected area, we will have to discontinue gas production operations," the statement added.
