French farmer Jose Bove marches through Rome's central streets June 8, 2002 during a demonstration demanding food sovereignty and condemning genetically modified crops. Thousands of anti-globalisation protestors, arriving from all over Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin American converged on Italy's capital on Saturday,ahead of a four-day U.N-sponsored conference of world leaders, to demand world leaders and the United Nations change their tactics in the war on hunger.
