Captain of Stricken Oil Tanker Arrested For Disobeying Authorities

The Prestige, loaded with 77,000 tonnes of fuel oil, ran into trouble November 13 and spilled tonnes of fuel oil into the sea as rescue services battled to tow it further out to sea.
The tanker now lies about 60 miles (100 kilometres) off the Spanish coast.
Spanish authorities now fear that the tanker could split in two if weather conditions worsen.
