Leading waste management and recycling company expands with new facility and public listing on ASX.

Bingo Industries Limited (Bingo), the Australian owned and operated waste management and recycling company, and proud long term Partner of Planet Ark, has been providing waste management solutions to a variety of businesses and industries for over a decade.

Bingo has a deep commitment to positive environmental action. Bingo helps businesses achieve their sustainability goals by providing waste management services that minimise the amount of waste sent to landfill by recovering resources and recycling as many materials as possible. Anything that is unable to be recycled is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

Bingo has just opened a new state-of-the-art recycling centre in St Marys in Western Sydney, adding to their other 8 locations throughout NSW and a fleet of 158 specially designed trucks. St Marys has been transformed from a transfer facility into a full recycling centre, and anticipates over 90% of diversion of waste from landfill.

The new facility has been built with a brand new system to maximise its recycling and recovery rates. This uses technology sourced from all over the world to ensure that everything that can be diverted from landfill, is.

Bingo has an optimistic view on the recycling needs of industries and has backed this by spending approximately A$20 million in upgrading the new facility. Industry trends show that companies, governments, schools and universities are increasingly trying to avoid their waste going to landfill, and need businesses such as Bingo to assist with this outcome.

A concern for many in considering recycling for their business is the question of whether or not the waste service actually recycles the materials collected. Planet Ark is in the process of verifying the recovery rates of each of the Bingo recycling centres. The first of these has just been completed for their initial recycling facility located in Auburn Sydney and an outstanding 85% resource recovery rate was achieved.

Bingo’s recent listing on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 3rd of May is an indication of not only the tremendous growth of Bingo’s business, but the very bright future of the recycling industry as a whole.
