Week 46: I resolve to buy and use natural pest-control products and remedies to reduce the amount of chemicals to which both the environment and I are exposed.
Date: 17-Nov-09
Using natural pest control methods is easy, effective and better for my health.
I can visit online eco-stores like www.planetarkdirect.com, www.biome.com.au, www.neco.com.au or www.todae.com.au for natural pest control products and consider better use of citronella, flyscreens and swatters when pests are around.
I can also easily make my own, non-toxic pest control at home. I can keep spiders at bay by wiping lemon oil on architraves and windows; repel cockroaches by leaving a mixture of 50/50 icing sugar and baking soda or borax near their trail; and deter ants by sprinkling their trails with baking soda, chilli pepper, paprika or borax or even by planting mint outside my house.
